Attempt at Quiche!

Okay so I wanted to work with what we had in the house- We had eggs, cheese, milk, some refrigerated biscut, and some various things (like Salsa!) so I used them all to create a fun and flavorful dish!

refrigerated biscut for crust- streached and pressed into dish to make pie crust

2 eggs, 1/4 cup milk, enough cheese to mix with dish, sprinkle of Garlic Powder, sprinkle of italian spices, squirt of spicy mustard. (experimental versions: Various Vegetables, salsa, extra cheese)

Cook for about 20 mins at 350 degrees. (until egg is golden brown & puffy and knife slides in & out clean from middle)
Whee. I am enjoying the experimental cooking!

Chicken & Veggie Pot Pie

Hurray for Chicken Pot Pie and Veggie Pot Pie! I made one for the hubby and one for myself. 2 cups chopped cooked chicken, 1 tube refrigerated biscuts, 1 can mixed veggies (plus some fresh), 1/2 C. milk, and 1 can cream of chicken soup. Mix all ingredients but biscut, and cook at 375 for 15-20 mins (until contents boils) Then top with biscut (I had fun making a biscut top pattern!) and cook for 15 mins until biscut is golden brown. The veggie pot pie was v. similar except I substituted LOTS of fresh (pre steamed) veggies for chicken and cream of Mushroom (or golden mushroom) soup for cream of chicken soup. Preperation is the same. The dish was DELICIOUS! :D Hurray for my first sucessful meat meal (and thank God for microwave chicken patty b/c I totally could NOT have done the whole chicken brest thing. \o/

Hello!

Hello everyone, this is my shiny new blog- for my recording my every day excitement of life.
Art projects, photos, yummy recepies, all the fun stuff is to be recorded here!

Starting out I have to say "HUZZAH!" we've made it a whole 3 weeks as a married couple! :D

Being as I am currently a technical "Housewife", I do laundry, I wash dishes, I clean, and I've even cooked meals and they made no one sick and were totally edible! (shocking I know)
I am looking now for cheep and afordable meals to make (as we are TOTALLY on a budget- and by budget I mean broke), a good pattern for curtains, and a few other odds & ends things to do. Like all of this fun name change stuff, it really is o.0 shocking! I FINALLY got my new soc. sec. card so I can now get a drivers license and start to get on with my life. we totally need a place to put stuff (like all the important files for life) and not just be piling them willy-nilly. I'm thinking a file folder/box would be perfect. Now all I need is a job so we can afford it!

So, on the agenda for tomorow:
-Get New Drivers License
-Find cheep easy-to-cook meal for dinner
(preferably with what we've got in the cupboard already)
-FIND JOB
(one that will pay me)
-Call Bank to change Name (Find out details)
-Visit/Calll V.S. to change name
-Find out about benefits of different banks
